Ivan Hristanov is a proven entrepreneur and professional financial manager with more than 15 years of management experience.
He has invested selectively in financial services (risk management and non-performing loans platform in Bulgaria). As an advisor (high net worth individuals and family offices, equity and mezzanine funds), he has been involved in deals in the financial institutions sector (Czech Republic, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Macedonia) and in technology (Bulgaria). In addition, he has been a mentor and a Board member of several Bulgarian technology companies.
Starting his career in 1998 in TMF, an accounting and auditing firm, in 1999 he was seconded for two years at Storko AD, the largest Bulgarian canned foods manufacturer, as Chief Accountant and, subsequently, CFO.
In 2001 – 2002, Ivan, together with Elvin Guri, co-founded JetFinance International (JetFinance), a consumer finance institution. By the time of its sale to BNP Paribas Personal Finance in July 2007, JetFinance had become the largest independent consumer finance lender in South East Europe.
Ivan has an MA in Agricultural Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Control from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE).
